I have been a long time rider, but always took it at a casual pace. I was introduced to The Smart Ride through a good friend Dan Hutton and I was hooked. This will be my second Smart Ride and there is a special place in my heart for people who suffer from HIV. I ride for all who need help with therapy and treatment. I am especially excited to ride with this wonderful group of people I not only get to call friends, but also family. 

 This is my fifth Smartride. I ride in honor of my brother John Gibbons to keep his memory alive.  I love the Smartride community and the relationships I’ve developed with the First Coast community of bikers.

I love almost anything fitness related and recently fell in love with cycling.   Anytime I can pair my love of fitness with a good charitable cause, it warms my heart knowing I’m making a difference for someone else doing something I truly enjoy (double bonus).  The SMARTRide is an amazing organization where 100% of the money we raise goes into the community to educate about and provide services for HIV and AIDS.  I ride the SMARTRide to honor the people I know we have lost to HIV and AIDS, and to ensure we provide services to those individuals in need of care.  This will be my forth smart ride, third as a rider after crewing my first year. #CycleSmartRide #CycleforaCause

Hi everyone! I am Michelle Adams-Manning and I am excited to be a member of the First Coast Cyclist Team. Originally from Michigan, my wife Andrea and I left the snow behind and moved to Florida 12 years ago. Since living in a stat e with good weather most of the time, (most is a relative term especially during hurricane season) I have taken a part in many athletic events. Whether it’s running marathons, triathlons or peddling from Miami to Key West, for me it’s all about training with friends and supporting good organizations. This year will be my 4th Smart Ride. I continue to ride for many reasons but the biggest is support and love.  As a human, I try to show love to everyone so, since I am able to ride why not show love by riding and raising funds for people who historically have not been shown love.  With that, I am looking forward to another ride!!
